The Cecilian Chamber Series presents the fourth concert in the 2023/2024 season, Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff.
For the Cecilian Chamber Series' first concert of 2024 , the world-renowned Busch Trio from the Netherlands will present a concert that will feature piano trios by Mozart and Ravel along with the monumental piano trio by Tchaikovsky.
The concert will open with Mozart’s flamboyant concerto like Trio in Bb followed by Ravel’s only piano trio, the Piano Trio in A minor which inhabits a sensuous dreamscape, far removed from politics and war. It provides a magical escape into a world of shimmering colors, exoticism, fleeting shadows, and an underlying sense of quiet lament.
The second half of the concert will feature Tchaikovsky's Piano Trio in A minor, a deeply emotional and expressive piece that showcases the composer's gift for melody and harmony. The Busch Trio's interpretation of this work is sure to be nothing short of spectacular, with their exceptional musicality and technical proficiency.
Tickets are $65 for Level 1 seating, $60 for Level 2 seating, and $25 for Students, all fees and taxes included. Seating is assigned.
