Event Notes

× Get ready for two very special shows presented by the University of Regina Conservatory of Performing Arts Summer Creative Camps.

First up our Senior Glee (ages 8-12) camp will present... BOTS! A New Children's Musical Book by Jessica Penzias Lyrics by Christyn Budzyna Music by Denver Casado

Welcome to the BOTS Robotics Competition where teams and their (singing and dancing) robots are all vying for the top prize! Amidst the coding, building, and fierce competition, two members from rival teams befriend one another and throw everything off-balance. Will their collaborative spirit sabotage their teams’ chances of winning? This STEM musical invites humans and robots alike to discover the power of technology and teamwork!

Second our Showtime (ages 11-14) camp will present... Order Up! By Kamron Klitgaard

When it comes to fast food, people are particular - VERY particular. In this quick succession of quirky customers, the Order Up! restaurant takes on everything from weird food allergies to fanatical health inspectors, from the fear of eating to someone wanting to hide in the restroom, and on and on and on. Could there be a moment of sanity for the employees who work behind this fast-food counter?

BOTS! is presented through special arrangement with Beat by Beat Press (www.bbbpress.com). Order Up! is produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Denver, Colorado.

All props, costumes, set pieces and more were produced by campers in Behind the Scenes (ages 8-12). These campers will also be assisting backstage and with technical cues during the performance.

All camps were open enrollment with no audition required!

Doors open at 1:30pm. Shows start at 2:00pm (Senior Glee first then Showtime second). There will be a short intermission between shows to reset the stage. The approximate running time is two hours.

This performance is free, but reserved tickets are strongly recommended. Rush seating; no assigned seating. Please contact the Darke Hall box office (306-523-2753) if you have any accessibility requests, so their team can reserve appropriate seats based on your guest's needs. Darke Hall is accessible friendly.
