Event Notes

× The Conservatory Youth Theatre Showcase is a special event presenting one act plays from the young performers in our Showtime acting program.

Performances will include the following (in performance order):

Showtime Junior will present Folktails by Lisa Abbott. Monkeys and turtles and coyotes — oh, my! Take in a performance of folk tales from around the world with this whimsical collection of six different animal stories. There’s something for everyone in these delightful stories and you will be all ears with these timeless “tails!” Folktails is produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Denver, Colorado.

Showtime Senior will present Everyone Gets Abducted by Aliens by Marshall Pailet. The universe is full of questions: Is there life on other planets? Should you be petrified for your Earthly existence? Does everyone get abducted by aliens? This play is full of answers: yes, yes, and that's the title of the show! Join Conspiracy Dan on a cautionary tour through alien-infested scenarios to avoid, such as going towards the light, voting for an alien political candidate, and buying gluten-free ice cream from extraterrestrials. This off-the-wall comedy is sure to steal your heart . . . and then steal the rest of you away from Planet Earth. Everyone Gets Abducted by Aliens is produced by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc. (www.playscripts.com)

There will be a short intermission between Showtime Junior and Showtime Senior to reset the stage.

ANY VIDEO RECORDING MADE OF EVERYONE GETS ADBUCTED BY ALIENS IS AUTHORIZED FOR PERSONAL, AT-HOME, NON-COMMERCIAL USE ONLY. THE SALE OR DISTRIBUTION OF SUCH RECORDING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED UNDER FEDERAL COPYRIGHT LAW.
