Get ready for three nights of singing, dancing, and performing at the Conservatory Musical Theatre Showcase. Students from the University of Regina Conservatory of Performing Arts’ youth musical theatre programs are sure to dazzle and delight the audience with their newly found triple threat status.
Performances on DAY 1 will include the following (in performance order):
Mini Glee is our youngest set of performers ages 4-5. They will be singing and dancing to a selection of songs from the beloved TV series Sesame Street including the Sesame Street Theme, Rubber Duckie, and Sing. Words and music by Joe Rapso, Bruce Hart, Jon Stone, and Jeff Moss. Arranged by Roger Emerson and Steve Zegree. This group is directed by Fallon Hantelman-Stewart with assistance from Elizabeth Madsen.
Junior Glee are our second youngest musical theatre students ages 6-7. They will be singing and dancing to a medley of The Muppets: Choral Highlights from the Movie. Get ready for songs like The Muppet Show Theme, Life’s a Happy Song, Mah-Ná Mah-ná, Me Party, and Rainbow Connection. Words and music by Jim Henson, Sam Pottle, Bret McKenzie, Piero Umiliani, Paul Roemen, Paul Williams, and Kenneth L. Ascher. Arranged by Mac Huff. This group is directed by Fallon Hantelman-Stewart with assistance from Elizabeth Madsen.
Senior Glee (Thursday) presents Imagine a Dragon. The dragon is back in town! Well… not really. That’s the story a ragtag band of innkeepers makes up, desperate to draw questing heroes to the struggling Dancing Dragon Inn. Soon the inn is full of unexpected guests, from an army of princesses out to prove their bravery, to a group of overwhelmed heroes trying to hold onto their fame. But what happens if they all discover the innkeepers’ dragon story is made up? Could there be more than one way to save the day? An epic folk-rock score brings magic to this funny, heartfelt fantasy musical. Book & lyrics by Kathryn Funkhouser. Music & lyrics by Denver Casado. Imagine a Dragon is presented through special arrangement with Beat by Beat Press (www.bbbpress.com). Senior Glee (Thursday) is directed by Erika Folnović with assistance from Cora Lockert.
There will be a short intermission between Junior Glee and Senior Glee to reset the stage.

Tickets are $8.40 in advance and $10.50 at the door. Price is per seat. Performers will have seats reserved in the audience - do not purchase a ticket for performers. If you are bringing an infant and they will be on your lap for duration of the show, you do not need to purchase a ticket for your infant.
This event is rush seating (first come, first served on performance night). However, please contact the Darke Hall box office (306-523-2753) if you have any accessibility requests, so we can reserve appropriate seats based on your guest's needs.
