Event Notes

× Get ready for three nights of singing, dancing, and performing at the Conservatory Musical Theatre Showcase. Students from the University of Regina Conservatory of Performing Arts’ youth musical theatre programs are sure to dazzle and delight the audience with their newly found triple threat status.

Performances on DAY 3 will include the following (in performance order):

Senior Glee (Saturday) presents We Are Monsters. This hilarious musical follows human kids into a monster cabaret filled with quirky monster characters. The adventurous humans uncover vegetarian vampires and rock n’ roll werewolves, gradually realizing there may be more to these monsters than meets the eye! Most importantly these monsters and kids discover the importance of friendship and celebrating in the attributes that make each of us different and unique. Book, music and lyrics for We are Monsters are written by Denver Casado & Betina Hershey. Presented through special arrangement with Beat by Beat Press (www.bbbpress.com). Senior Glee (Saturday) is directed by Karen Rose.

Advanced Glee (Saturday) presents The Granny Awards. Tonight's the night we've all been waiting for! Yes, Granny, who has retired from show business, will be honoring all of our favorite fairy tale characters! Who will win Best Vocalist? Best Dramatic Scene? Best Choreography? And the coveted Best Villain Award? And don't forget to keep an eye on that nasty Big Bad Wolf as he tries to steal the treasured Granny Award. The Granny Awards is written by Janet Gardner with additional fairy tale inspired commercials written by Advanced Glee students. Advanced Glee (Saturday) is directed by Karen Rose.

There will be a short intermission between the performances to reset the stage.
