Event Notes

× The Conservatory Group Program Showcase is a three day event presenting a variety of performances including music, dance, and theatre from both youth and adult students. Participants are studying at the University of Regina Conservatory of Performing Arts in one of our group programs.

On DAY 1 we are excited to present performances from students in our Youth Theatre Programs.

Performances for the afternoon will include the following (in performance order):

Showtime Junior presents Social Media. Social media apps come to life in this funny play about the perils of social media. Five different social media characters argue over who does the least harm. Phone apps are great fun, but how people use them is causing some grief. Can these apps find a way to regain their fun and avoid hurting others in the process? Social Media is written by Debra A. Cole. This play is part of a Drama Notebook's collection of plays for kids and teens, available on www.dramanotebook.com. Showtime Junior is directed by Tahir Lawal.

Showtime Senior presents A Weekend Mystery. Eccentric strangers are invited to a country estate for the weekend, and a mystery ensues. But maybe the detective on the case is more central to the story than previously thought... A Weekend Mystery is written by Sara Feinberg. This play is part of a Drama Notebook's collection of plays for kids and teens, available on www.dramanotebook.com. Showtime Senior is directed by Vanessa Nezamloo.

There will be a short intermission between the performances to reset the stage.
