RMC Recital Competition Winner, Kristian Vogel, saxophone, performs works by Franck, Grieg, Yoshimatsu and more.
Born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, Kristian Vogel began studying saxophone with Karen Finnsson in the fall of 2014. In 2019, Kristian completed a Bachelor of Performing Arts degree at the University of Regina, studying with Karen Finnsson and Jennifer Tenford. After this, Kristian attended the University of Toronto, studying with Dr. Wallace Halladay. Here he received a Master of Performing Arts degree. Kristian won the 2021 University of Toronto Winds Concerto Competition. Kristian participated in the National Youth Band of Canada in both 2017 & 2018. Kristian has performed with the Regina Symphony Orchestra as well as the Regina Jazz Orchestra.
Tickets are $38 for adults and $32 for seniors (65 and up), inclusive of fees and taxes. Free tickets for those under 18 and UofR students are available at the door on the day of the concert. Students may be asked to present ID.
