OASIS VS RADIOHEAD
Two outstanding British bands are profiled in this show. Formed in 1991, Oasis was made up of 5 members including brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, whose genius songwriting and an electrifying live band show captivated Britain. Liam's frontman swagger worked well alongside Noel's strategic brain; Liam's emotive vocals carried the sentiment behind Noel's lyrics beautifully. The brothers relationship was in the end what made the band so unique and interesting. Radiohead's 5 member band, formed in 1985, is credited with redefining the sound of rock music and influencing a generation of musicians. With their constant instrumental experimentation, culturally relevant lyrics and themes, and blend of styles and genres, Radiohead is heralded as one of the most important and critically acclaimed rock acts of the modern era.

CLASSIC METAL
Full of guitar wizardry and riffs galore, Classic Metal’s explosion in the 1970s and early '80s would set the tone for a generation of Metal bands to come and leave an indelible impression on the music industry. This show will include hits by bands like the Scorpions, Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden and many others.

MOTOWN VS. DETROIT ROCK
This show features two very different styles of music that came out of Detroit, Michigan. The explosive success of Motown music in the 1960s broke new ground by tearing down racial barriers in the music industry, helping to open the door to mainstream success for countless black creators. Motown featured groups like Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross & the Supremes, The Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder and the Temptations. Motown’s influence has impacted generations of artists over the decades and its contributions to the racial integration of the music industry will never be forgotten -- nor will its infectious sound. 'Detroit Rock' refers to all the successful bands and musicians that came out of Detroit and plays a prominent role in music history. It cultivated the spirit of rock and roll that lives on to today. Some of the artists profiled include Bob Seger, Suzi Quatro, Rick James, Ted Nugent and Grand Funk Railroad.
