× The Conservatory Group Program Showcase is two days of a variety of performances including music, dance, and theatre from both youth and adult students studying at the University of Regina Conservatory of Performing Arts.

Performances for DAY 1 will include:

The Conservatory Youth Strings Program is a family program for young violinists and cellists ages 3-9. Our youngest group of string players will be showcasing a variety of folk and classical tunes that are sure to delight all. This group is directed by Alaina Majewski (cello), Rudolf Sternadel (violin), and Jonathan Ward (violin). Accompanied by Michael Dymund. Musicianship provided by September Russell.

The Conservatory Pipe Band will be showcasing their pipes and drums loud and proud! Be prepared for both familiar and unfamiliar tunes as we transport you to Scotland with a variety of traditional and new repertoire with Regina's only youth pipe band. This group is led by Iain MacDonald with support from Barb MacDonald, Laura Schmeling, Kenna Whelan, and Cameron Fuelscher.

The Conservatory Youth String Orchestra gives young string players ages 8-12 their first experience with independent part playing. Our violin and cello students will be presenting a variety of classical, folk, and holiday pieces. This group is directed by Alaina Majewski.

The Regina Community Orchestra and the Conservatory Youth Orchestra, both directed by Adrian Casas, are the highest level orchestras offered at the Conservatory. Both are open to all community members ages 13+ without audition as long as you have some experience in your instrument. The orchestras will be presenting a joint program of folk and classical music.

There will be a short intermission between the Pipe Band and the Youth String Orchestra to reset the stage.
