× Katherine Dowling and Simon Fryer perform the complete Beethoven Sonata Cycle for Cello and Piano on Amati cello and Fazioli piano in a single event.

Praised by the New York Times for her “crystalline performances, gestural expressiveness, and careful attention to color”, and by the Boston Globe for her “effortless incisiveness”, award-winning “tour-de-force” (OpusKlassiek, Berkshire Eagle) pianist Katherine Dowling performs across North America and Europe as a soloist and chamber musician.

Simon Fryer is without a doubt one of Canada's most important cellists. His unusual sensitivity to the chamber music repertoire is a joy. He possesses a lyrical approach to his instrument reminiscent of a fine tenor. His performances present the repertoire with a musical intelligence and are simply not to be missed.

Tickets are $38 for adults and $32 for seniors (65 and up), inclusive of fees and taxes. Free tickets for those under 18 and UofR students are available at the door on the day of the concert. Students may be asked to present ID.
